22. "OBEY MY VOICE."


Do you seek to always obey God's voice?

In Jeremiah 7: 22 and 23, God said, 

"For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. 

"But this is what I commanded them, saying, "Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you."

Do you want to do great things for Him? 

'God's Voice' is His instructions, directions and promises He gave in His Word - the Holy Bible! 

How do you conduct your daily affairs and relationships? 

When you obey God's instructions and follow His directions is when 'what you do' really matters to God! Our God delights in service from a pure heart; a heart that obeys Him! 

Anything you do for God with an unclean heart is an abomination to Him! Do not disobey God by committing sin. Stop bribery, lying, stealing or fornication! Disobeying God's Voice or word renders what you do unacceptable to Him!

Desire, more than anything, to know God more and do what He delights in. 

In whatever you do

- Show Lovingkindness,

- Judge rightly,

- Walk righteously. 

That is how your heart and service will be in tune with God. 

Can anyone be free from sin?

Yes, everyone can!

If you've not yet done it,

Simply acknowledge that you are a sinner and only our Lord Jesus Christ can cleanse you. 

Ask Jesus to forgive all your sins and be your Lord and Saviour. 

Romans 10:9 says; that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 

(See Romans 10: 8 - 13).

Food for Thought 26. GOD SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE Someone shared this with me about Joseph. Read Genesis Chapter 37 and from Chapters 39 to 50. Joseph had a dream. He told his brothers about it. They became jealous and sold him into slavery. Although Joseph became a slave in Potiphar's house, life started looking good again until Potiphar's wife demanded sex from him. Joseph refused, chose to be godly and ran away ... but Potiphar's wife framed him with attempted rape!  Suddenly life feels rough again, and Joseph wonders. " Oh God, why me? What are you doing to me? What about my dreams of greatness?" It seemed Joseph's brothers and Potiphar's wife had conquered Joseph. FEAR GOD Exodus 1:15 -17 "Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, "When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." But the midwives FEARED GOD and did not do as the King of Egypt commanded them but saved the male children alive. It is very important and rewarding to fear God. 'Fear God' means you put God First in your Thoughts and Actions. "Therefore God dealt well with the midwives and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
