21. FRIENDS, PLANS, YOUR DECISIONS! 

2nd Chronicles chapters 17- 20 tells the story of a man

Jehoshaphat

A King ...and The Lord was with him!

Why?

The Lord was with Jehoshaphat because...

-He walked in the ways of his ancestral father David

-He sought the God of his ancestral father 

And walked in His commandments

Therefore the LORD established the Kingdom 

In King Jehoshaphat's hand

And his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord. 

However, in time, he went to war alongside a wicked King

...Ahab, his father-in-law!

This alliance with the wicked got Jehoshaphat into a life threatening situation

But for God's intervention in chapter 18 verse 31!

There are many who sincerely believe that, 

"God will always show up" ...for them,

Yet they continue a lifestyle just like this King

...Just like Jehoshaphat!

Despite Jehoshaphat's good deeds which God acknowledged, he still disregarded a truthful rebuke, 

"Why should you help the wicked who hate God?"

And still went ahead to align with ANOTHER wicked King

...Only to reap dire consequences.

God destroyed his works!

The ships he partnered with the wicked King Ahaziah to build for a mutually profitable Business deal all got wrecked! 

Food for Thought deals with SERIOUS matters

This is a serious matter, so let's talk SERIOUSLY!

Can anyone win in life by participating in negative, ungodly plans? 

History has no such records! 

1st Corinthians 15:33, says: 

"Do not be deceived: 

Evil company corrupts good habits."

Beloved ...Beware!

Beware of negative, ungodly affiliations.

Beware that you DO NOT conform to any negative plans or actions just to deceitfully gain certain benefits and rewards, or avoid due punishment for your intentional wrongdoing!

Avoid them!

God wants YOU to OBEY His word!

Regardless the challenges you may face, choose to obey God's word. Even when things do not appear to be as smooth as you want, stand with God.

In the long run, His reward is sure! 

Stand for God.

Refuse to be moved. 

Stand in God's word! 

He will SURELY bless you!

Food for Thought 26. GOD SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE Someone shared this with me about Joseph. Read Genesis Chapter 37 and from Chapters 39 to 50. Joseph had a dream. He told his brothers about it. They became jealous and sold him into slavery. Although Joseph became a slave in Potiphar's house, life started looking good again until Potiphar's wife demanded sex from him. Joseph refused, chose to be godly and ran away ... but Potiphar's wife framed him with attempted rape!  Suddenly life feels rough again, and Joseph wonders. " Oh God, why me? What are you doing to me? What about my dreams of greatness?" It seemed Joseph's brothers and Potiphar's wife had conquered Joseph. Despite all these troubles, however,God Himself had already seen the whole picture of Joseph's life from beginning to end. FEAR GOD Exodus 1:15 -17 "Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, "When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." But the midwives FEARED GOD and did not do as the King of Egypt commanded them but saved the male children alive. It is very important and rewarding to fear God. 'Fear God' means you put God First in your Thoughts and Actions. "Therefore God dealt well with the midwives and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
