Food for Thought:
18. ENJOY DOING IT!

Whatever you do
That concerns other people...
At your Workplace...Church...
Or within the society
In Politics or Government
Can be blissful

...DESPITE any short comings
Or weaknesses
You may think you have.

For some...

You don't think or feel...
- You deserve anything from God
- You're Good Enough
- You're Smart Enough
- You've Achieved Enough
- Your clothes are Good Enough

You actually think...
- You're not Rich Enough ...Intelligent Enough ...Pretty Enough ...and so on and so forth!

I came across something interesting in Susan May Warren's book, 'The Perfect Match'.
I'd love to share it with you:

"...The Apostle Paul had a thorn of weakness, something that made his ministry difficult.
Three times he asked God to take it away.
And God answered,
"My gracious favour is all you need.
My power works best in your weakness. "
See, God promises that
When we are weak, He'll fill in the gaps.
Our 'work' for Him is the perfect way
To see Him at work in our lives.
He gives us a task to do,
But without Him, we can't complete it.

God amazes us with His grace, and in that act, we draw closer to Him,
...We have to abide with Christ to accomplish anything of worth in this life. Without Him, our work means nothing. "
..."Our work for God actually helps us love Him more, abide with Him more. The more we seek to serve Him the more we need Him. It's a circle of joy. And that makes our work for Him worth the sacrifices we make. " (Ref: Copyright 2004; Tyndale).

Let all your endeavours serve God...
Don't just do the work ...Enjoy doing it!
...And our heavenly "Father" WILL honour you!

"If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him my Father WILL honour." (John 12:26, EMPHASIS mine)

Food for Thought 26. GOD SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE Someone shared this with me about Joseph. Read Genesis Chapter 37 and from Chapters 39 to 50. Joseph had a dream. He told his brothers about it. They became jealous and sold him into slavery. Although Joseph became a slave in Potiphar's house, life started looking good again until Potiphar's wife demanded sex from him. Joseph refused, chose to be godly and ran away ... but Potiphar's wife framed him with attempted rape!  Suddenly life feels rough again, and Joseph wonders. " Oh God, why me? What are you doing to me? What about my dreams of greatness?" It seemed Joseph's brothers and Potiphar's wife had conquered Joseph. Despite all these troubles, however,God Himself had already seen the whole picture of Joseph's life from beginning to end. FEAR GOD Exodus 1:15 -17 "Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, "When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." But the midwives FEARED GOD and did not do as the King of Egypt commanded them but saved the male children alive. It is very important and rewarding to fear God. 'Fear God' means you put God First in your Thoughts and Actions. "Therefore God dealt well with the midwives and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
