12. WHY ARE YOU ON EARTH?

Although you have to work to earn to live comfortably,
I want you to know that your primary assignment on earth
Is to fulfill God's purpose on earth and make heaven.

And how will you achieve this?

First, you need to give your life to Christ.
Second, get into His Word to know Him more and understand His purpose.

These will put you on the pathway to Heaven, and to experience God's miracles on earth.

What we observe today, however, is the almost inordinate craving and drive to attain financial and social significance, much to the detriment of making heaven.

With everything we do in life, let us be heavenly minded in particular. God has promised that when we seek His kingdom first, all the things we pursue - status, wealth, power, etc - will be added, and easily too!

According to 1 John 3:3, “...Everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure”. The hope that one day we shall see Him because we are His children motivates Christians to live righteously. Having this hope also helps us overcome sin and keep ourselves pure.

We are to live lives that reflect God's ways in all that we do. To behave in ways that reflects God's godliness and also draws the lost to His kingdom.

Become 'kingdom minded' by letting the character of God colour and show through your life. In whatever situation you find yourself, ask, “What will Jesus do?”

If you are already a child of God, I pray that you will always be conscious of the fact that you are chosen by God, loved and need to make it to heaven despite and in spite of your earthly, human needs or whatever you may go through.

Be kingdom minded

Food for Thought 26. GOD SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE Someone shared this with me about Joseph. Read Genesis Chapter 37 and from Chapters 39 to 50. Joseph had a dream. He told his brothers about it. They became jealous and sold him into slavery. Although Joseph became a slave in Potiphar's house, life started looking good again until Potiphar's wife demanded sex from him. Joseph refused, chose to be godly and ran away ... but Potiphar's wife framed him with attempted rape!  Suddenly life feels rough again, and Joseph wonders. " Oh God, why me? What are you doing to me? What about my dreams of greatness?" It seemed Joseph's brothers and Potiphar's wife had conquered Joseph. Despite all these troubles, however,God Himself had already seen the whole picture of Joseph's life from beginning to end. FEAR GOD Exodus 1:15 -17 "Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, "When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." But the midwives FEARED GOD and did not do as the King of Egypt commanded them but saved the male children alive. It is very important and rewarding to fear God. 'Fear God' means you put God First in your Thoughts and Actions. "Therefore God dealt well with the midwives and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.
