10. FAITH IN GOD …The Right Thing!

To have Faith in God is to believe in His word, even though there is no physical evidence. Numbers 13 and 14 talks about the unbelief of the Israelites.

- They did not believe that God could take them into the promise land evidenced by the negative report given by the spies Moses sent to spy out the promise land.

- As a result, God said none of them would enter the promise land, except Joshua and Caleb who believed in God's promise that they were able.
Hebrews 4:2b states, "But the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it", referring to the Israelites while they were in the wilderness. Later on, verses 11 and 12 said, "Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest (through faith) lest anyone fall according to the example of disobedience... for the word (of God) is living and powerful". (Emphasis mine)

You need to have unwavering faith in God and His word. But for Joshua and Caleb, none of the Israelites received the promise of entering and possessing their portions of the promised Land.

Faith in God is the only way of pleasing Him. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him". (Hebrews 11:6)

See His word (for your situation) and embrace it. You must realize that patience goes with faith. Sometimes you may experience seeming delays, keep your faith confession. It will ultimately bring you the desired victory.

Have you doubted God's promise in any area of your life?

- Today you can ask Him to forgive your unbelief, and also for His abundant grace to walk by faith.

- Study God's word and make confessions based on the scripture. Faith does not deny the situation. Rather it declares the power of God in the face of the situation.

Why not start believing God today?
- Say only what He has said about you and your situation.

That is The Right Thing to say!

Food for Thought 26. GOD SEES THE WHOLE PICTURE Someone shared this with me about Joseph. Read Genesis Chapter 37 and from Chapters 39 to 50. Joseph had a dream. He told his brothers about it. They became jealous and sold him into slavery. Although Joseph became a slave in Potiphar's house, life started looking good again until Potiphar's wife demanded sex from him. Joseph refused, chose to be godly and ran away ... but Potiphar's wife framed him with attempted rape!  Suddenly life feels rough again, and Joseph wonders. " Oh God, why me? FEAR GOD Exodus 1:15 -17 "Then the King of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah; and he said, "When you do the duties of a midwife for the Hebrew women, and see them on the birthstools, if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." But the midwives FEARED GOD and did not do as the King of Egypt commanded them but saved the male children alive. It is very important and rewarding to fear God. 'Fear God' means you put God First in your Thoughts and Actions. "Therefore God dealt well with the midwives and the people multiplied and grew very mighty.
